Founder & CEO
Nigel Vidal is a qualified Industrial and Commercial Engineer with over 20 years experience in mechanical engineering, the embodiment of expertise and dedication in the realm of power generation, encompassing both renewable and non-renewable sources. Graduating with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, and later achieving a Master’s in Engine Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has finely honed skills in internal combustion engine design and a rich academic foundation. Over the years, he has carved a niche for himself in diesel engine design and the operations and maintenance of industrial plants…
For over six years, Nigel was at the forefront of mechanical engineering at PharmaChem Technologies G.B. Ltd. in Freeport, Bahamas; a USFDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) regulated manufacturing environment. The systems and methods used would be applicable for all forms of human consumed manufactured good including but not limited to water, beverage, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing. At PharmaChem, he oversaw engineers and contractors, and plays a pivotal role in developing maintenance programs for new and existing systems. His expansive scope of responsibility spans a vast array of mechanical systems; R.O. Systems, SPX Marley Cooling Towers,York Chiller Refrigeration Systems, Caterpillar 3516 Generators, Cleaver Brooks Boilers, Kaeser PSA Nitrogen, Comber Reactors, Filters, Pumps, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Compressors, Agitators, HVAC Equipment, Bio Basin, Clarifiers, Baker Hughes Incinerator, Scrubbers, and Groundwater Remediation System. Nigel’s contributions have been instrumental in identifying and implementing preventative measures for system failures and in providing invaluable mechanical engineering support across various project phases.
While Nigel primarily steers the ship as a solopreneur, the company’s identity orbits around him, a testament to his broad skill-set and strong work ethic. His entrepreneurial spirit shines through with the founding of Vidotepp Engineering Solutions (V.E.S.), offering services in mechanical and electrical systems, basic safety procedures, training, technical writing, facilities management, and real estate development. With experiences across regional power generation utilities, Nigel’s career trajectory showcases a consistent emphasis on health, safety and environment best practices, maintenance, troubleshooting, and mastery over oil and gas fired power generation operations. There also included senior management level experience in collective bargaining (trade union) negotiations, vehicle fleet maintenance, and renewable energy. As he continues to be a beacon in the engineering management sector, his goal remains clear: to be the ultimate engineering management resource for power generation, industrial, and commercial clients.
